Why???

Why did I have to wake up this morning to snot running across my cheek........sexy right??  I have finally caught the damn cold that I have been feeling coming & fighting off for almost 2 weeks & of course it has to be that it comes full force on Christmas Eve.  If this cold thinks that it is going to get the best of me it has another thing coming!!  Christmas will not be ruined because I can't breathe, can barely talk & because every time I swallow it feels like I am swallowing razorblades; I am just hoping that B wakes up feeling better than he did yesterday!!

He has also been fighting off a slight cold & yesterday his nose & eyes were both running & watering like crazy.  The good thing is neither one of us has a fever & I am just hoping & praying that we do not develop one as the day goes on.  Lance gets off today at noon & we really only have one thing planned so hopefully we will have a restful & lazy day together.  We are going to start our Gingerbread House tradition & that should be interesting to say the least............an almost 17 month playing with icing & candy is going to awesome (I will of course post pictures)!!!

On a happier note; they are saying that it is going to snow here in GA tomorrow!!  I am trying not to get my hopes up but to have a white Christmas would be a dream come true for me............I have always wanted to have one & I think that B would really enjoy it too!!!

Fall Is Finally Here........

Or so I thought it was until yesterday; it was 72 degrees yesterday afternoon...........that's right 72 in November; that's just crap!!  It was freezing cold yesterday morning & then as the day went on it just got hot; I have to admit it was very nice to be able to take B outside to play & not have to bundle him up but it is November for goodness sake & it is supposed to be cold.  Brayden doesn't seem to be having any issues with the weather being so up & down but I have managed to catch what seems to be the beginning of a cold & just pray that it doesn't turn into a bad cold or get any worse that the sore throat & running nose that I already have.

Here is our little guy enjoying the cold; I swear it is like he isn't even effected by the fact that his eyes are watering, nose is running & his little hands are cold........he takes his mittens off about 2 seconds after I put them on.  I try & he takes them off again & again & again; I guess he thinks he knows better that I do what he needs to keep warm :)  I have found that he is better in layers that in a big bulky coat though; of course when it gets really cold he will HAVE to wear a coat at all times but until then he has on his pj's under these 2 outfits to keep warm!!

 

Pumpkin Patch; Well Sort Of........

We have been trying to wait for the weather to get cooler so we could get all bundled up & head to a pumpkin patch but it doesn't seem as if that is going to happen so we just went to a little one this past Sunday & will try again this coming up Sunday..............Halloween!!

Brayden was fighting a cold & it finally caught up with him this past weekend (which is also making my plans for keeping him up later VERY difficult) so he wasn't really thrilled when we got there but Lance got him on one of the pony's & he did enjoy the swings & slide......

But mostly he just wanted to be pulled around in the little cart or just walk by himself......

I managed to get a few good pictures (but only a few; he just kind of stared around) but am hoping to get more this weekend when he is hopefully feeling better!!

 

More 7 Months

This is how B started off his 7 month birthday; he looked cute & was yelling at our boxer, Bella.......

This is what he looked like when I got to school to pick him up yesterday; he has a cold so he spit up mucous all day & on all his spare clothes. I had to walk him to the car in this onsie, a hat & wrapped in a blanket.....can I just say I felt like a failure as a mom on this walk of shame!! Today his diaper bag has 2 full sets of clothes down to spare socks just in case he has another bad spit up day (I have a call in to the pediatrician too to see if I should bring him in).

It is becoming harder & harder to get him to look at the camera; he would rather look at the always moving dogs, his hands, feet, a shadow, his dad.......he would rather look at anything other than the damn flashing thing that mommy is holding all the time!




I was so happy that I finally got a picture of B with both dogs but looking at it now it seems that they might have had this planned out......Bella you block mom so I can get the kids ears!!

This is B clapping; he loves to clap & does it all the time......he tried to get his hands together but it just seems to end up that he claps his belly more than his hands!



He is in size 4 diapers, 9 month clothes, eats almost all fruits & veggies (still HATES green beans) & will be trying chicken for the 1st time this weekend. He is getting the hang of holding & drinking from his sippy cup & bottle & loves to play with his spoon after he has finished eating; he gets it to his mouth but he & the kitchen would be a mess if I tried to let him feed himself :) He hasn't had much interest in crawling but loves to play on his belly so we are just waiting for that to come; we are also waiting for his teeth! At this point he doesn't have any & other than the drool & can't see that any are even threatening popping out. His favorite time of the day is still bath time & that makes his mommy & daddy happy because we are hoping that he will love the pool & lake this summer!! He is NOT STTN; however as of last night we are changing some things & we are hoping that will change VERY soon!!

I would have to say that our son is a tiny piece of God's perfection & we love him more & more everyday!
