15 Month Old Colt

I don't know where the time is going but this little guy is getting so big so fast; he is growing up faster than B did that's for sure!!  He celebrated his 15 month milestone August 3rd (B's birthday) & I think that he thinks he is the one that turned 3.  He is defiantly getting to big for his britches!!  He is mister independent & wants to do everything on his own...........until he does, gets hurt & then wants mommy.  He is a momma's boy for sure; he used to be a daddy's boy but I secretly whispered in his ear that I was cooler & he finally listened.

He is in 18 month clothes but is pushing the limits on those, he is in size 4-5 shoes, he has a million teeth coming in (which are making him VERY moody), he sleeps like a champ most nights & eats like a pig!!  The kids sees food & wants it; his belly literally sticks out by the end of the day from eating; it is the cutest thing.  He is in the 98% for height & his weight & head are both average; I said this with Brayden too but his daddy is very happy that they have my height & has both of their football futures with UGA planned out.

Colt is into EVERYTHING.  We have moved the trash can into the pantry & have to make sure that door stays closed or else he'll get into it & pull out food to eat all day.  He gets into the stuff under the sink in the bathroom (which is just shampoo, towels, & TP) so that door stays shut & so does the spare bedroom door down stairs since he likes to grab the candles off of the night stand.  No is a word he says & he knows the meaning of but he does not listen too AT ALL.  He is very strong willed & wants what he wants & if he doesn't get what he wants he is already doing the "throw myself on the floor" temper tantrums.  I am afraid for our lives as he gets older!!

He is very attached to his little Mickey Mouse & blankie & likes to have them in his little chair downstairs.  He loves to be outside & loves to wear his crocs; he will grab them & hand them to me right when we walk into the garage & sit right down so I can quickly put them on.  His new drink love is a juice box & want to drink them all the time but he squeezes them of course so he can't hold them just yet.  He is jabbering up a storm & had a great vocabulary in the works but his favorite word is "baby".  That is what B calls him so he points at things that he wants & says "baby"; he says it for anything & everything & it is the CUTEST thing in the world to me.

Colton you are a little stinker but you are our little stinker & we love you more than you can ever know.  Watching you grow, progress, & change is amazing & even though we'd like for you to also be the baby you are now our little big toddler & you are amazing!  You are pure joy & laughter, your smile lights up a room & fills your momma's heart with love.  You are perfect & we love you always!!

15 Month Stats......

Brayden had his 15 month check up yesterday & had to get FOUR shots; he had to get his boosters as well as his flu shot.  He did so great with the shots & only cried for a minute & then was good to go.  He is growing very well & in the 75th percentile height wise (32 in) & then average on his weight (24 lbs.) & head circumference (18.5 in.).

I hated that he had to get shots but I think they might have been a God send because he took a wonderful 3 hour nap yesterday afternoon & the slept until 7 this morning!!  I am hoping that he is getting a great nap a school today & that he will be as happy as he was this morning when I dropped him off & be able to stay up until 8pm tonight & then sleep until 7 or later again tomorrow morning.............fingers crossed!!!

Here are some photos of Brayden in his new hat; still won't wear gloves or mittens but the hat stays on because of the strap!!!

15 Months

Time is flying by & things are changing so quickly it seems; we have moved Brayden's glider out of his room to make more room for toys so I will no longer be trying to get his monthly photos in it anymore either!!  It makes me sad that, that time is over with Brayden but soon enough BG #2 will be sitting it it getting his taken; besides Brayden hasn't sat still long enough in the thing for quite some time so we will just have to get creative from here on out!!

Our baby boy is 15 months old & is such an absorbent sponge these days; he is picking up on so many new things that I am really having to remind Lance (& myself) to watch the things that we say at all times!  He is trying so hard to talk & speak in actual words & his sign language is getting better & better too.  I am so happy that he is learning the basics because it does help when I have no idea what he is trying to tell me.

His new favorite is please; please & thank you are 2 very important words that I want him to always use so I am very happy that he knows at least one of them so far.  HOWEVER, please can backfire right in my face when he wants me to push him on his fire truck over & over & over & over & he is asking politely so how can I say NO, right??  He is shaking his head up & down for yes & saying a version of it at the same time.  He always wants to do things "agn" (again) & I think his favorite word of all is "mil" for milk & will bang on the fridge door until I get it for him.

He is in all 18 month clothes & I will have his height & weight stats after his doctor appointment next Tuesday.  I am not looking forward to this appointment at all because not only is he getting shots but he is getting the flu shot & when I got it it burned so I am just hoping & praying that it will not be too bad for him.........maybe I am just a wuss!!  He is still in size 4 diapers.

He is so active & loves to play outside on his slide & hates to wear gloves so we are going to have to figure something out now that it is colder outside.  He is eating everything these days but seems to be taking a break from vegetables at most meals.  He is teething right now & looks like he will have at least 2 maybe 3 more bottom teeth for a grand total of 13 & he loves to brush all of them 2-3 times a day!!

One of his favorite toys is a little broom & he is such a good little helper!!  He loves to drag the blow dryer around in the mornings & also loves to weigh himself (I think because he sees Lance & I do it in the mornings too).  He loves to dance & has just recently learned to turn around & does it when the Imagination Movers say to do it in their song!  When I ask where my teeth, eyes, & nose are he points to them; I am telling you he is very smart!!

He is trying to get out of his crib; he is not making any progress yet but has figured out that he is can swing his leg over he will be able to get out somehow!  He is not tall enough for his legs to swing up that far but he might be in his toddler bed WAY before we planned on it!  I am going to get him a potty & start letting him sit on it through out the day just to see how he takes to it.  I know that it is early but he loves to be in the bathroom with me when I am going so why not see what happens!!

We love you more than we could ever put into words Buggy!!!!!!!
