Halloween 2011
I'd say this year was almost perfect; Lance had to work & couldn't be home with us so it wasn't 100% perfect but it was close. B still wouldn't actually go up to the houses but he happily wore his costume & walked around the neighborhood so he did very well & Colton was a trooper. He didn't seem to mind the big ol' dog costume that I made him wear & just watched everything going on around him.
B started out his neighborhood tour on his tricycle; he happily climbed on & off we went to see the trick or treaters.
We tried to bribe him with a Kit Kat to walk up to a house or 2 but he wanted no part of it so I didn't force the issue.........he did get the Kit Kat though.
We tried for a photo of the boys together & this is what we got because after about 5 seconds......
this happened..........oh well there is always next year.
B then decided that he wanted to take the wagon out for a spin (it'll be great when they can both ride in it next year) & we toured some more of the neighborhood. Sadly the kids didn't get started until a bit late so we only got to see half of the costumes.
We ended the night just hanging at the house handing out candy; B was in awe of the kids that were coming up to the house. He would follow them in & out of the door way each & every time.
He was the cutest pirate I have ever seen & we had a wonderful time! We hope that y'all had as much fun as we did too!!!

Halloween - Part 2
After getting home from Corn Dawgs & eating dinner we had time to kill so we just played out front & waited for it to get late enough to put B's costume on. I swear I was so so excited & it was so hard to wait; I was the kid in the candy store this year!! We planned on taking B trick or treating in his little tricycle so we went ahead & pulled it out & let him get used to it; he has never really been a fan of it so we were hoping for the best!!
Like I said I was excited so I kept doing things because I couldn't wait; I changed him into his black shirt & gave him his bucket & light to play with & not shockingly he liked to carry them both.
Then I couldn't wait anymore; I had to put his costume on him. We were planning on taking him early anyway so I just did it. I really expecting him to not want to wear it (especially the hat) but he loved it & just acted like it was a normal outfit.........except for the mittens! We could only get him to wear them for a second so eventually Lance just put them on the handle bars of his bike & there they stayed.
He did great walking up to the few houses we went too & loved looking in his bucket to see what he was given!!
I would have to say that Halloween was a great success this year & I am already thinking about next year & getting to dress up 2 little ones!! Here are some more photos & the last one is my favorite of the day; he was looking at me with such a smirk on his little precious face & I think it is perfection!!!

Halloween - Part 1
These Halloween posts are going to be packed full of pictures so be warned!! I don't know why I feel the need to explain but anyway; my parents live in Virginia (soon to be New Mexico) so I never want them to miss anything that Brayden does or experiences since they are not here to see it themselves (especially holidays & special firsts)........not to mention I just love sharing photos of our little cutie!
Last year this was our Halloween & since I love Halloween I was very excited that this year our little guy would actually be able to enjoy it this year!!
We had quite a busy & fun day this Halloween; we started off meeting JuJu & PaPa for breakfast; the morning started off even better than I thought it was going to because B woke up in a fantastic mood after a not so peaceful nights sleep (teething) & then his red converse shoes finally fit him so mommy was ecstatic too!!
Playing peek-a-boo on the way to breakfast..........
After breakfast we went over to PaPa & JuJu's house to play & eventually nap. Brayden enjoys their front yard & drive way so much; he & PaPa always walk to the mailbox to check the mail & also always go to the creek for a little spitting. He worn himself out & went down for a nap; only an hour later he was up so we were off to have more fun!!
We went to Corn Dawgs for him to run around & play & enjoy all of the fall/Halloween festivities. He had such a great time just being able to run free in an open but safe environment.
Right when we got there we HAD to get B a wagon to ride in.........
& the whole day he was in it, climbing on it, or trying to pull it.
We of course had to slide for a while.............
& then they had the neatest zip line swing thing that he loved too......
He got to pet & feed goats.......
Pot Belly Pigs.........
& even guinea pigs; he didn't really like them & when he say the pigs again he ran right for them.........
We went on a hay ride......
which he seemed to really enjoy...........
But I think that Lance enjoyed it most of all; Brayden just curled up with him for almost the entire ride!! It was so special for the both of them & for me too!!
Brayden inspected all of the pumpkins he saw but none were as good as the one we already had.
He blew us kisses to let us know just how much he loved the fun we were having!!
We even managed to get a few family pictures; I am never in any of the pictures so it was nice.
Lastly, we could not leave without having a funnel cake.........
did you know that this thing is almost 800 calories (so worth it)??
It was such an amazing family day & I think that we all enjoyed it (I almost cried like 6 times....hormones maybe; happiness DEFIANTLY); the only thing missing was Grams & Puddy!! The day would have been PERFECT if they were there too!
After Corn Dawgs we went to our house to eat & then get ready for trick or treating.....................
