Yesterday I tried to take some Valentine's photos of B but I can not get him to sit still to save my life. When you are taking photos of your little ones how do you get them to sit still/pose.........even for just a second??
Here is one photo that I think is OK but not what I was looking for..........

My tip would be just not to pose him. If you really want the prop in the picture, let him play with it, and get down on your knees at his level and just shoot away. His playfulness will make the photo and capture a happier moment than just a posed smile :)
ReplyDeleteAwe so cute, He's got a little heart. He's still cute even if he is preoccupied in this pic.
ReplyDeleteI am not trying to pose him at all & let him run around with the "props" for a long while but my child doesn't sit still AT ALL so that was my issue.........how to get him to sit & play with it not run like a wild man
ReplyDeleteSet a fast shutter speed and just run along with him, as best you can....I often get down on the floor and crawl around with my son, trying to keep ahead of him, but side and back shots can be fun too, depending on what they're doing. At this age, getting them still is not going to happen, so I just open up my aperture to absorb the light as best it can and set a fast shutter-speed (1/125 is ideal for my fast-moving son), and just shoot away rapid-fire shooting. I almost always end up with several good shots of him in action.
