15 Month Old Colt

 I don't know where the time is going but this little guy is getting so big so fast; he is growing up faster than B did that's for sure!!  He celebrated his 15 month milestone August 3rd (B's birthday) & I think that he thinks he is the one that turned 3.  He is defiantly getting to big for his britches!!  He is mister independent & wants to do everything on his own...........until he does, gets hurt & then wants mommy.  He is a momma's boy for sure; he used to be a daddy's boy but I secretly whispered in his ear that I was cooler & he finally listened.

He is in 18 month clothes but is pushing the limits on those, he is in size 4-5 shoes, he has a million teeth coming in (which are making him VERY moody), he sleeps like a champ most nights & eats like a pig!!  The kids sees food & wants it; his belly literally sticks out by the end of the day from eating; it is the cutest thing.  He is in the 98% for height & his weight & head are both average; I said this with Brayden too but his daddy is very happy that they have my height & has both of their football futures with UGA planned out.

Colt is into EVERYTHING.  We have moved the trash can into the pantry & have to make sure that door stays closed or else he'll get into it & pull out food to eat all day.  He gets into the stuff under the sink in the bathroom (which is just shampoo, towels, & TP) so that door stays shut & so does the spare bedroom door down stairs since he likes to grab the candles off of the night stand.  No is a word he says & he knows the meaning of but he does not listen too AT ALL.  He is very strong willed & wants what he wants & if he doesn't get what he wants he is already doing the "throw myself on the floor" temper tantrums.  I am afraid for our lives as he gets older!!

He is very attached to his little Mickey Mouse & blankie & likes to have them in his little chair downstairs.  He loves to be outside & loves to wear his crocs; he will grab them & hand them to me right when we walk into the garage & sit right down so I can quickly put them on.  His new drink love is a juice box & want to drink them all the time but he squeezes them of course so he can't hold them just yet.  He is jabbering up a storm & had a great vocabulary in the works but his favorite word is "baby".  That is what B calls him so he points at things that he wants & says "baby"; he says it for anything & everything & it is the CUTEST thing in the world to me.

Colton you are a little stinker but you are our little stinker & we love you more than you can ever know.  Watching you grow, progress, & change is amazing & even though we'd like for you to also be the baby you are now our little big toddler & you are amazing!  You are pure joy & laughter, your smile lights up a room & fills your momma's heart with love.  You are perfect & we love you always!!

Chuck E Cheese Birthday Fun

 This is the last post regarding Colton turning one I promise..............

I took some photos of him on his actual birthday; he enjoyed his first ever cupcake & LOVED it.  I am not sure why he now doesn't like them but at least I got great photos that day right??

I of course had to snap some of this handsome little guy too...........

And then we were off to Chuck E Cheese for some fun & games.  We have taken Brayden for both of his birthdays so we are going to make sure Colton goes on his too.  They are both a bit young for most of the stuff there (in my opinion) but there are things that they both enjoy so it was fun!

My dad even got in on the fun............... 

& everyone played at once at one point!!  We had a blast celebrating Colton turning one & I know that he may not remember the festivities but when he looks back at pictures he'll know that he did & more over that he was surrounded by everyone that loves him!! 

Now I have to get ready for Brayden's 3rd birthday coming up...................ARRRRRR; it a Pirate Party!!

Colton's Big Top Birthday Party

So Colton's party was on May 6th & I am just now posting about it..................I promise that I have not just been slacking I have really been crazy busy!!

We went with a Circus/Big Top theme & I think that it turned out pretty well.  I wish it would have been a tad bit cooler but overall I think that everyone had a great time & that fun was had bay all!!  Colton was the star of the Circus & enjoyed seeing friends from daycare as well as all the family that came.

I decorated every part of the inside & outside of the house that I could.  I didn't go overboard (at least I don't think I did) I just wanted it to look great so I did something in each room that would be seen. 

I wanted to do a candy table for the kids (& adults too) & loved the way it turned out. 

We also decided to just do a smash cake for Colton & then cupcakes for everyone to eat; I always worry that with so many people at a party someone or two people won't like whatever type of cake I choose.  Plus I really just enjoy baking cupcakes!! 

The only person that I wanted to enjoy the cake didn't even want to touch it though...........lil'booger wouldn't even try a darn cupcake.

We went with yummy food that you would have a the circus/carnival.  Hot dogs & Hamburgers with all the fixins, soft pretzels, chips, popcorn, snow cones & a few other little things here & there.  I did flavored water, sweet tea & lemonade for the adults & then juice/capri suns for the kids. 

As far as "things" to do we had games set up in the front & back yard & then got a huge jumpy thing with a slide.  Again I wish it had been a tad bit cooler & also that we had a bit more shade in our yard but the kids didn't seem to mind the heat one bit. 

I set up a place in the front yard for the smaller kids to play in; I put it where the shade starts to appear first & Colton & all of his little friends had a great time in there playing!

I think that my favorite part of the party was the photo booth; I thought it was cute to see everyone put on a prop or two & strike a pose plus I was able to print & give the photos to all of his friends at school with a thank you for coming note. 

I can't believe that his birthday has come & gone & he is now actually 13 months old.  My baby is now a toddler & is a hot mess 24/7.  He is into everything & thinks he can do everything that B can do.  I have said it before but Colton is a pure joy & is loved by all.  He & Brayden are so fun to love & raise each & everyday & (I know they are mine but) the are the best 2 boys in the world!!!

12 Months Old

This big guy turned one over a month ago & I have been a bad mommy & not posted about it yet..........life is crazy with 2 little head strong guys running around this house & even though I wouldn't change any of it for the world some days I could use about another 3 hours in the day to just sit & collect my thoughts!!

Colton is a pure joy, he has the best laugh & smile & he shows them all the time.  He is a carefree little guy 98% of the time but the other 2% is complete breakdowns because I am late with his food..........HE LOVES FOOD & I best not be late getting it made or else.  He eats anything & everything; he is leaning away veggies at the moment but loves fruits & anything that has pasta in it is heavenly to him.

He has so much energy & thinks that he is a big as Brayden & can keep up with him; he even thinks that he can run like his big bro but he has the bumps on his head that proves he is still a bit wobbly in the running department.  He is in 18/24 month clothing & wearing a size 4 shoe..............I have a crazy suspicion that he is going to be a BIG BOY.

Colton is a mommy's boy most of the time but it seems that when daddy walks through the door I become chopped liver.  Lance has such a crazy work schedule & with Colton going to bed at 8pm he doesn't see Lance for more that 30 minutes a day so he makes sure that when he sees him he gets all the loving he can.  Our poor little guy has actually been under the weather for about a month with an ear infection that he just couldn't shake but he is better now & getting back to his old cheerful self!!

He is talking & babbling so much; he has still not said momma but says daddy, no-no, yes, point to shoe & tries to say it & says juice.......kind of.  He really just bangs on the fridge saying something that sounds close to juice until I get it for him!!  He is in the 95% percentile in height & weight; he weighs 24 pounds & it 31 inches tall.  He really is such a big little guy.............Lance is hoping he'll be a linebacker.  He loves, loves, loves to be outside & prefers to be there more than inside or anywhere else.  If he sees me let the pups out he'll start running for the door wanting to go too & if he doesn't get to go lays on the floor throwing a fit.  He is pretty good at the fit throwing at this point.  He is testing he boundary's & limits a good bit but will hopefully learn mommy is the boss & not him.................RIGHT!!!!

The boy doesn't sit still & loves to copy everything that B does (so we are in trouble).  He loves Brayden so much & follows him around where ever he goes.  B calls him baby & loves him too but of course doesn't want him to touch his stuff!!  Colton lights up the room & our hearts each & everyday & he is just a true & pure blessing to our family.  He is growing up & changing so fast & it makes me sad as much as it makes to smile & happy.

Here is Colton a few days after he was born laying on the same bear.............tears at the difference & at the fact that he is no longer considered a baby but a toddler!
