B's Puddy......

This is Brayden's Puddy (my dad)......he didn't get to come with my mom & sisters when they came to visit a few weeks ago & we missed him so much!! My parents live in VA so we don't see them too often & it stinks but I am keeping my fingers crossed & hoping that mom & dad will be here for a visit in April!!

The day B was born....

B was always happy laying in his Puddy's lap!

This is their Mountain Dew Ad!

Just call him the dog whisperer.....all 4 dogs curled up with him!!

He is Bella's Puddy too & she loves him soooo much!!

Here's Brayden showing off what both he & I got from Puddy........our ears!!

Song Of The Day......

B & I had a very long night; poor baby was up on & off from 11:30pm with his congestion & I needed something to wake me up & this song did it........Train - Hey, Soul Sister

Here are the lyrics.......

Hey, hey, hey

Your lipstick stains on the front lobe of my left side brains
I knew I wouldn't forget you, and so I went and let you blow my mind
Your sweet moonbeam, the smell of you in every single dream I dream
I knew when we collided, you're the one I have decided who's one of my kind

Hey soul sister, ain't the Mr. Mister on the radio, stereo, the way you move ain't fair, you know!
Hey soul sister, I don't want to miss a single thing you do...tonight
Hey, hey,hey

Just in time, I'm so glad you have a one-track mind like me
You gave my life direction, a game show love connection we can't deny
I'm so obsessed, my heart is bound to beat right out my untrimmed chest
I believe in you, like a virgin, you're Madonna, and I'm always gonna wanna blow your mind

Hey soul sister, ain't that Mr. Mister on the radio, stereo, the way you move ain't fair, you know!
Hey soul sister, I don't want to miss a single thing you do...tonight

The way you can't cut a rug, watching you's the only drug I need
You're so gangsta, I'm so thug, you're the only one I'm dreaming of
You see, I can be myself now finally, in fact there's nothing I can't be
I want the world to see you be with me

Hey soul sister, ain't that Mr. Mister on the radio, stereo, the way you move ain't fair, you know!
Hey soul sister, I don't want to miss a single thing you do tonight,
Hey soul sister, I don't want to miss a single thing you do...tonight
Hey, hey,hey

Tonight
Hey, hey,hey

Tonight

PaPa's 50th Birthday...

This adorable little boy......

Sent this YUMMY treat.....

to his PaPa for his 50th Birthday today!!

I am going to have to talk to Brayden about using mommy's credit card without asking!!

A Boy, His Dogs & School "Spring" Pictures....

Brayden had school pictures yesterday & they were their spring pictures so we had to pack a cute outfit for him to wear & I just loved this outfit when we received it. I wanted to get some pictures of him when we got home because he won't fit the outfit in spring/summer since it is a 6 month size. His teacher said that he did really well & smiled a ton (I didn't have the guts to tell her that is probably because his mommy is always snapping at him at home) so I can't wait to see how they turn out!!

Brayden has a bigger window in his room & I wanted to take some pictures with the natural light (since I read about people doing that on here) & right when I did Georgia came running over to join in the fun!! She loves her brother so much...can't you tell??

I tried to get Bella to slow down long enough to take some of her & little man BUT she would only run over lick him & run off again.......SPAZ!!

Song Of The Day......

I LOVE my Sirius satellite radio; every morning I switch between channels 3(Love Songs), 8(80's), & 9(90's) & this morning this song came on & I got goose bumps. I have no idea the last time I heard it but I love it!!!

I am going to let this beautiful song set the tone for my day; SO today is going to be a love & smile filled day for sure!!

Such a Big Boy......

Brayden has just recently decided that he like to stand more than he likes to sit; unfortunately his legs don't work as well as he thinks they do & he tends to fall after a few minutes!!

Weekend Recap....

Little man is under the weather with a cold & pretty bad nose congestion but over all we had a great but very busy weekend; Saturday Brayden spent a few hours in the morning with his JuJu so that I could go get my nails & toes done & then when I got back we packed little man up in the car & headed out to run some errands.........we didn't get much done though because B started looking like he was getting worse & I got worried & wanted to get home & take his temperature. He thankfully didn't have one & after a juice bottle he was back to his happy self; it is amazing to me that my son can be so happy with that much snot running out of his nose :) We played & had a great afternoon & then Lance got home, B went down & Lance & I stayed up laughing, talking & watch the UFC fights.........it was a blast & we hadn't laughed like that in quite a while BUT I should have gone to bed when B did because it turned into a very long night!!

His little nose was so clogged that he was up on & off from 1:30am on & it made for a bad morning for momma!! We were going to look at a house (blog about that hopefully later) @ 11 so JuJu was coming to pick up little man at 10 since we were all meeting for lunch later that day but I had the hardest time getting up & the WORST headache I have ever had in my life. I guess when I actually slept I slept funky because my headache was being caused by what felt like a dagger stabbing me in the neck!! It was bad but I figured if B was in a good mood not feeling well than I could be too :)

We looked at the house & then went to meet everyone for a very yummy Japanese lunch & then it was back over to JuJu & PaPa's house for a birthday celebration; we were celebrating B's cousin Max's birthday, Aunt Tara's & his PaPa's 50th birthday!! We had cake & ice cream & it was so much fun to see him interact with all of his cousin's; we hadn't seen of the family in quite some time so it was nice to catch up with everyone!!

Lance left before I did (he had house stuff to do) & then I left about an hour later......I still had my horrific headache but wanted Brayden to see everyone for as long as he could!!

So.........

What do you think?? I love it & am so excited........THANK YOU SO MUCH LAURA!!!

Burned Biscuits

This email was sent to me by a wonderful friend whom I love dearly & I guess she & God knew that I needed this today & I thought some of you might enjoy it or even need it too!!

When I was a kid, my mom liked to make breakfast food for dinner every now and then. And I remember one night in particular when she had made breakfast after a long, hard day at work.

On that evening so long ago, my mom placed a plate of eggs, sausage and extremely burned biscuits in front of my dad. I remember waiting to see if anyone noticed! Yet all my dad did was reach for his biscuit, smile at my mom and ask me how my day was at school.. I don't remember what I told him that night, but I do remember watching him smear butter and jelly on that biscuit and eat every bite!

When I got up from the table that evening, I remember hearing my mom apologize to my dad for burning the biscuits. And I'll never forget what he said: "Honey, I love burned biscuits."

Later that night, I went to kiss Daddy good night and I asked him if he really liked his biscuits burned. He wrapped me in his arms and said, "Your Momma put in a hard day at work today and she's real tired. And besides - a little burnt biscuit never hurt anyone!"

Life is full of imperfect things....and imperfect people. I'm not the best at hardly anything, and I forget birthdays and anniversaries just like everyone else. But what I've learned over the years is that learning to accept each others faults - and choosing to celebrate each others differences - is one of the most important keys to creating a healthy, growing, and lasting relationship.

And that's my prayer for you today. That you will learn to take the good, the bad, and the ugly parts of your life and lay them at the feet of God. Because in the end, He's the only One who will be able to give you a relationship where a burnt biscuit isn't a deal-breaker!

We could extend this to any relationship. In fact, understanding is the base of any relationship, be it a husband-wife or parent-child or friendship!

"Don't put the key to your happiness in someone else's pocket - keep it in your own."

God Bless You..... Now, and Always....

So Please pass me a biscuit, and yes, the burnt one will do just fine.!.!.!.!

Crawler Covers

I have seen so many little girls wearing the most adorable leggings so I went on a mission to find B some manly ones since I loved them so much!! I went on Etsy (my new found love) & found Crawler Covers & More & they have boys & girls styles as well as bows, clips & headbands....for girls only of course :) I was worried about what Lance would say so I just waited for them to arrive & what do you know he had the exact reaction I thought he would......"They are tights honey & you are not putting them on MY boy!!" I told him they are crawler covers & they are for boys & he would be wearing them; he just gave me a look & said whatever BUT once I put them on Brayden he loved them!! I mean look at them on our son.........he makes them look good!! See he looks cute in them huh???

If I was giving an official review it would be this:
They are wonderful; they fit very well & don't slide down & that was my biggest worry & concern. I ordered 4 pairs & love them all; I ordered the infant size & once Brayden grows out of these (which will be very soon since his legs are so long) & will order him more in the toddler size!! They come in designs that are so adorable on boys & that is nice since it seems to be that there are more cute things like this out there for girls than boys & that just stinks!!
