Baby Shower

I hosted a baby shower for one of nearest & dearest friends last Saturday; I was just about to type that she is the last one of my friends due but my SIL is still due too.  I swear there has been something in the water in the last year because everyone I know has popped out or will soon be popping out a little one & strangely enough there has only been 1 girl born out of the 6 that have or will be arriving........huh!

April is due on July 31st & she & her hubby can't wait to meet Brady!!  Here is the mommy to be with her mom & sister. 

She loved the shower & received lots & lots of gifts for her little guy & I was so happy to throw the shower for her BUT can I just say it was a rough day.  Colton of course would nap that morning so I was stressed about getting everything done.........it all turned out well I think though.

I cheated & ordered chicken salad sandwiches & chicken strips from Chick Fil a  then just made pasta salad & spinach dip to got with the veggie tray & then had a fruit tray as well.  It was a lot to do with 2 kids at home but I managed to pull it off & was pretty impressed with myself!

& just because..........B LOVED the chicken strips!!  I only really mention this because we have tried the nuggets from Chick Fil A before & he hated them so I am really happy that he likes them now!!

Shower Time......

We are throwing a couple's baby shower for our friend's Meghan & Justin & I think at this point I might be more excited than they are about it!!  So far all that I have is the invitation designed & a list of things that I am going to do for the party; I am going to have to get started on the list pretty soon though because I wanted to make it special for them so I am making a good bit of the decorations so that it will be more personalized.

Here is the invite; designed by Pixel Perfect Boutique; she did Brayden's 1st Birthday Invite & I was so thrilled with how it turned out I will use her from here on out!  We are doing a couples shower so we wanted to use a theme that was mom & dad friendly; Meghan & Justin are just like Lance & I & they LOVE sports so picking the theme was pretty easy.......not to mention the foods that go along with this theme are YUMMY!!!!

I am going to do a table that has a diaper cake on it (that I am going to attempt to make) & then surround it with a candy station so I had her design covers for Hershey's Bars........

And of course there will be cupcakes so I also had her design toppers; they will all have the little sports baby.... 

Then half will have this on the back.......... 

& then the other half will have the baby's monogram on them.

I think that everything turned out perfectly & now I just have to get my bootie in gear on the rest of the party decor!!

Brayden's 1st Birthday - The Invitation

I am sure that this is going to the 1st of many posts like this BUT we have his invite designed, printed & ready to stuffed into envelopes & sent out!!

Karyn over at Pixel Perfect Boutique designed it & Lance & I couldn't have been happier with the way that it turned out!! Mrs. F. used her for her daughters  1st invite design & I loved the way that it looked.  When I contacted Karyn I told her what Lance & I wanted & when we received the 1st proof I felt like she saw what was in my head & put it to paper/computer perfectly (honestly we only had 2 changes & one was the note at the bottom that I forgot to tell her about in the beginning)!!  I would recommend her to any & all of you if you are in need of any custom paper designed products or for any event you might have in the near future.  She has also designed matching address labels to go on the invites; it is so weird to see an address label with Brayden's name on it but they are PERFECT!!!

Now that the invite is finished I feel like I can move on with planning the rest of the party & that is very exciting but a little sad too.  My baby boy is going to officially be a toddler soon; just typing that out brings tears to my eyes!!!
